Are your customers making the world a better place? I bet they are.
If you want to get the attention of new customers, you should try celebrating your current ones. That starts by seeing them a little differently.
Change Your Perspective
Andrew Brown sells tools to the skilled trades. His customers include plumbers.
Most of us think of plumbers as the guys who come and fix our pipes or install our faucets. But Andrew knows they are much more than that.
They are responsible for protecting the nation’s water supply. And our health. Where would we be without them?
Now, apply that same kind of thinking to your customers. No matter what they do, I bet you can make the case that they’re changing the world, at least in some small way.
Do they develop software? They’re helping people be more productive and happy.
Do they sell industrial coatings? They’re making our buildings and infrastructure stronger.
Do they change tires? They’re helping people travel safely.
When you start to see how amazing your customers are, then you can’t help but want to celebrate them.
Share Your Customers’ Stories
There’s a good chance your customers don’t even realize how important their work is. It’s now your job to tell the world how great they are.
It doesn’t take much. Just a paragraph or two on your CEO’s LinkedIn feed giving your customers kudos for simply being their awesome selves.
If you want to get more advanced with videos or well-designed web pages, that’s fine. Just don’t make it about you. At all.
Then, you’ll start to notice something.
More prospects being interested in your offering. More loyalty from your current customers. Even a higher caliber of job applicants.
It’s one of the easiest marketing tactics you can do, requires very little planning or money, and yields amazing results in the form of attention, trust and loyalty.
When you’re ready, I can help you. Just schedule a meeting so we can met and talk about it.
